
In a case of the revolution eating its own, Micorsoft will be pulling the plug on its Encarta encyclopedia. It will stop selling it by June and the Encarta website will be gone in October. Details can be found here: http://encarta.msn.com/guide_page_FAQ/FAQ.html

Whodunnit? Wikipedia, among other suspects. Like many technological innovations, Encarta got passed by. Encarta, R.I.P.

As much as I dislike Microsoft, I hate to see Wikipedia triumph even more...
